Aston Students' Union (SU) unequivocally condemns the recent political violence and discrimination that have been reported in towns and cities across the UK. These events stand in stark contrast to the Aston SU core values of equality, diversity, and inclusion. We take immense pride in our diverse student and staff community and are steadfast in our commitment to promoting a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

Aston SU categorically denounces any form of violence, abusive language, discriminatory rhetoric, or hate speech directed towards any individual, group, or religion.

Aston SU is a registered third-party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, and we treat all incidents reported to us with the utmost seriousness. We encourage anyone experiencing Hate Crime, discrimination, or violence to report it as soon as possible.

Our Student Advice and Wellbeing teams, along with the Aston University Chaplaincy, are available to provide support to anyone who may require assistance during these challenging times.
