How eating disorders affect your body
Disordered eating can affect your body in both big and small ways. This makes sense, as food and eating is such a central part of life. Some physical impacts you may notice are:
- Due to nutritional deficiencies, you might start getting to notice dry skin, loss of skin colour, thinning hair and nails
- Tooth decay because of all the stomach acids
- Face and body can often be swollen or bloated
- Irregular or loss of periods
