Adora Wong, your Vice President Education is hosting an online EPS College Townhall on 6th June 2024 from 10- 11am to update you on the restructure and changes taking place in the EPS College. Sign up now to attend!

The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences is undergoing significant changes to align with the Aston 2030 strategy.

The restructuring involves creating three new schools:

- School of Engineering & Innovation

- School of Computer Science & Digital Technologies

- School of Infrastructure & Built Environment

These schools will have strategic autonomy and financial responsibility.

The changes aim to improve teaching and research environments, ensure financial sustainability, and support future growth, all while maintaining an excellent service for students at the heart of everything we do.

Key changes include:

- Merging certain departments

- Enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration in line with Industry 4.0

- Centralising foundational programmes to improve student support.

This restructured environment, which will go live starting in September 2024, is designed to correct previous inefficiencies, strengthen strategic control, and position the college for an outstanding future.
