Award season at Aston Students' Union is one of the most exciting times of the year. It's a time to recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of students, staff and Academics at Aston University. 

We’re super excited to announce that some of our Clubs and Societies have been shortlisted for external awards, including the National Societies & Volunteering Awards and British Sikh Awards.

Aston Sikh Society – Shortlisted for the British Sikh Awards 2023 

The 2nd British Sikh Awards 2023 has shortlisted 300 exceptional British Sikhs as finalists, following hundreds of nominations received from across the country. 

These awards aim to recognise individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields such as business, charity, sport, arts, culture, religious advocacy, education, and medicine, among others. The awards are a testament to the strength of the British Sikh community and their achievements over the past year.

Aston Sikh Society has made it to the final list of nominees for the British Sikh Awards! They've been doing some amazing work promoting Sikhism and helping the community, like organising cultural events, spreading the word about Sikh values, and supporting charitable causes. Their hard work has paid off, and it's great to see them getting recognised for their efforts. 

Aston Sikh Society & Afro-Caribbean Society – Longlisted for the National Society & Volunteering Awards 2023 

The National Societies & Volunteering Awards recognise the contributions of student volunteers and student-led societies from UK higher and further education institutions. 

We’re super excited to say that Aston Sikh Society has been longlisted for the ‘Event of the Year’ Awardand our Aston Afro-Caribbean Society has been longlisted for ‘The Wellbeing Award’.
