We've got some fantastic news to share! Aston Exchange Society has hit a major milestone, earning Full ESN UK Section Status and a new title: Erasmus Student Network Aston.
This is a proud moment for the University and Aston Students’ Union and demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the international student experience.
The Aston Exchange Society worked closely with the Student Union (SU) and the International Relations Office to prepare for the recent conference in Aberystwyth. Out of 14 ESN UK sections in the mix, 11 were present, and in a unanimous decision, every section representative voted YES for Erasmus Student Network (ESN) UK Section Status.
The ESN UK Section Status is a recognition of excellence in supporting and facilitating the experiences of international exchange students. This achievement solidifies Aston University's position as a leading institution for fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for its global student body.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a Europe-wide organisation dedicated to the welfare of international students. ESN aims to make student mobility as accessible and enriching as possible, ensuring that exchange students enjoy a positive experience while studying abroad. ESN fosters cultural understanding, provides support, and organises events and activities to help international students integrate into their host institutions.
With the Exchange Society now rocking the name Erasmus Student Network Aston, Aston University is ready to offer an even more fantastic experience for its international students. ESN Aston is all about providing support and resources - including cultural events, language exchange programs, and a hand with practical matters like finding a place to stay and handling admin tasks.
We are proud of Aston's vibrant and diverse community of students, and the new ESN Aston chapter will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in further enriching the academic and cultural life on campus. Congratulations to the Exchange Society and Erasmus Student Network Aston for this remarkable achievement. We can't wait to see the fantastic impact it has on the community and the exchange students who call Aston their home away from home.
