Where to Live in Birmingham

CITY CENTRE & SUBURBS

You can search by area on the ASH Website.

City centre living is very popular with Aston students as you will be close to campus and the vibrant social scene.

The choice of large purpose-built student developments located around campus has increased rapidly over the last few years, so you will have plenty of options to choose from if this is the type of accommodation you are looking for. Rent levels here are at a premium in all types of accommodation, starting from around £118 per person per week to £165 PPPW all-inclusive for an ensuite room within walking distance.

It is worth noting that car parking is very limited and may come at an additional cost.

There are still many shared houses in Birmingham, especially in the suburbs. Click here for a map. If you prefer to live together with your friends, this is a very good option to consider. We advise looking at a number of houses before agreeing on one, as shopping around will give you an idea of the quality of properties on offer and help you to familiarise yourself with different areas. The rent levels tend to be cheaper outside of the city centre.
