Other Accommodation Options
You can also try:
You can also check our Aston Student Homes messageboard to see if there are any suitable short-term options available, as this is where students post messages to find a replacement if they need to vacate early. You would be taking over a tenancy from another student, so please double-check the dates and terms and conditions. It is best to make arrangements via the student AND the accommodation provider to ensure you have followed the correct procedure. If you take on a tenancy (contract) for longer than the period you need, you are liable for that entire period unless you find a suitable replacement tenant. This can be tricky, so please be careful.
Accommodation for Overlap TP1/TP2
Because the University overlaps TP1 and TP2, exchange accommodation is taken by TP1 students until a date in January.
The Campanile is just a 10-minute walk from campus and is close to The Green.
The staff at The Campanile are very friendly and helpful. To book or for more information, please email them at sales.birmingham@campanile.com
Another option is the Premier Inn Hotel (Birmingham City - Aston). Again, it is very close to The Green and the University. If you book it sooner, you can get better rates, but as you get nearer to January, the rates can go up very quickly. To book the Premier Inn or get a price, please see - Premier Inn Birmingham
Alternatively, you can try Birmingham Central Backpackers Hostel if you are on a very tight budget. However, this option is for students who are very confident and have travelled a lot. It is a hostel, and you may be sharing a dormitory-style room with quite a few people that you don't know. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from campus.

Important Note
Ideally, we recommend that you do not transfer or hand over any money until you are in the UK and have seen the property/room for yourself. For this reason, we suggest that you arrive early to give yourself time to view properties and areas of Birmingham. Some of our international students prefer to stay in temporary hostel/hotel accommodation while they are looking for somewhere more permanent to live. This helps to prevent any issues or disappointment. For tips on how to avoid rental scams, please click here. It is safe to book a room at The Green from abroad. It is also safe to book via Aston Student Village, Unite Students, and larger companies that are signed up with the National Codes. If in doubt, please ask us: astonstudenthomes@aston.ac.uk
