Aston RAG (Raise And Give) is the area of the Students’ Union dedicated to raising money and awareness for charitable causes!
It is entirely student-led and aims to run great events for great causes.

Getting involved with RAG is a great way to support brilliant causes, meet new people, and have an amazing time! It’s also the perfect way to gain some extra skills and experience - it looks great on your CV!
Here’s how YOU can get involved:
Become a volunteer!
RAG is not always about giving money - giving time is just as important! We rely on amazing volunteers for all of our events, from organisation through to execution, we need your help!
Think you’ve got what it takes to run events? Apply to our RAG committee by emailing a short cover letter on why you would be most suitable to Union.RAGO@aston.ac.uk
We have a roles to fill on the RAG Committee which include:
Charity Club Representative: Support sports clubs with their charity event, be their first point of contact, attend meetings to discuss the club's charity plans for the year, and provide general support during the events.
Charity Society Representative: Support societies with their charity event, be their first point of contact, attend meetings to discuss the club's charity plans for the year, and provide general support during the events.
Secretary: Fill out the event request forms and risk assessment forms, general support during the events
Events Secretary: Support with the event, tickets, set up the room, and Ensure equipment we might require is working prior to the event
